Tools to Stay Healthy During the Holiday Season - from a Certified Holistic Health Coach & Travel Agent

Let’s be honest, staying healthy can be hard enough, but staying healthy while traveling can be even harder.

Having had personal experience with this and being a Certified Health Coach and now Travel Agency owner, I thought it may be useful to share some ideas on ways to try and stay healthy while traveling! Especially as we approach holiday travel.

The first thing I would recommend is to stay hydrated as best as possible while traveling. Especially if you are traveling to a dry or higher elevation climate. It’s truly amazing how quickly you can become dehydrated. So, drink your water and add some electrolytes in there for good measure! Don’t like electrolytes? You can also drink Coconut Water as an alternative if you like it and would prefer.

My second tip would be to take a vitamin C supplement and travel with Oil of Oregano. Vitamin C as all of us know helps to strengthen our immune system. Oil of Oregano is an affordable plant-based antibiotic amongst other things. It is great to take especially if you take it during early onset of not feeling well but be careful because it is potent.

Thirdly, elderberry gummies are great as well, and they are great for the whole family. You can also get Elderberry effervescent tablets to take in water should you prefer. There are also elderberry tinctures too. If you have children be sure you get the ones specific for kids as dosing for adults versus children may be different.

Finally, my last tip for this post is, stress management! Finding tools that work for you like journaling, meditation, movement, etc. will also help keep you healthy as our immune system is weakened when we are stressed out. So, work on the mindfulness and movement, etc. also.

I hope you enjoyed todays post, and I hope you have happy and healthy travels this holiday season with your family and loved ones. For more content like this, like this post, and comment below which of the above ideas you plan to start using.

I look forward to seeing you in our next post or even possibly in a consultation call!

Best wishes & Happy Travels,
Megan

Reading this post took me straight back to last December when I tried to juggle a family reunion, a business trip, and my own wellness goals. I was determined to avoid the usual holiday weight gain, so I packed a small travel pillow, a reusable water bottle, and a handful of herbal teas in my suitcase—just like the coach suggests. On the flight I drank ginger tea instead of coffee, and during the reunion I swapped the heavy cream dip for a veggie platter I’d prepared ahead of time https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rake_(poker) By the time I got home I was surprised to feel actually energized rather than exhausted, and I didn’t end the season with the dreaded post‑holiday slump. Your tip about…

Reading this post took me right back to last December when I tried to juggle a family reunion, a work trip, and my usual daily workouts. I remember packing a small “wellness kit” in my suitcase—herbal tea bags, a travel-size foam roller, and a few packets of electrolyte powder https://www.anu.edu.au/ On the second night of the trip, after a festive dinner that was more sugar than vegetables, I used the foam roller in my hotel room and felt the tension melt away before I even fell asleep. The next morning I brewed the peppermint tea, and it surprisingly helped curb my cravings for another slice of pie. thepokies I also started a simple habit of a 10‑minute morning stretch routine,…
