Similarly to Southwest Airlines Delta Airlines is ushering in a new era of air travel by reimagining how customers book and experience their flights. Beginning October 1, Delta is rolling out a refreshed lineup of branded fare options and a more intuitive online shopping experience, with more flexibility and personalization in mind.
New Fare Categories:
Delta’s fare structure now includes:
Delta Main (formerly Main Cabin), split into three tiers:
Basic – The essentials at the lowest fare.
Classic – Extra flexibility, seat selection, and SkyMiles earning.
Extra – Top-tier perks like refunds, higher mileage earn, and earlier boarding.
Delta Comfort, Delta First, Delta Premium Select, and Delta One remain, now with “Classic” or “Extra” options for added customization.
Better Booking Tools:
Starting May 14, Delta's redesigned booking system on Delta.com and the Fly Delta app lets you compare fare features at a glance.
