Tour of Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun All Inclusive Resort

Hi everyone and welcome back! If you did not see our blog post from last week where we talked about our room tour at the Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun, please feel free to check that our here. That will also take you to the video we filmed, which is attached in that blog post.

In today’s post we are going to cover the resort. Like our previous room tour, should you prefer to have a visual format, please check out the video attached below.

The resort itself was small. This is the second all-inclusive resort I have had the pleasure of experiencing and it was the smallest of the two. There were 4 restaurants and 4 bars on property as well as one gift shop, one café and store which were together.
There were three pools separate from the pools that were outside of the swim out suite rooms. With one of the three pools being an adult only pool and it was located by the Chill Bar. The second of the three pools was located right by the 5 o’clock Somewhere Bar, and the third was located by Rita’s Tacos and Bar.

A spa and workout facility were also on property and located in the same area just to the left of the check in desk. To the right of the check in desk behind you is the reservations desks where you can make meal reservations, etc. The gift shop and store/café were located there as well. There were lots of areas for guests to be able to lounge around and even a life size chess playing area and a ping pong table. We did do some ping pong playing ourselves, but photos from that will not be included here. Haha!

The four bars on property were:
The 5 O’clock Somewhere Bar
Compass Bar
Chill Bar
Rita’s Taco Bar

The four restaurants on property were:
Rita’s Tacos
Beach House
Latinos – Mexican and Asian fusion type restaurant. I believe that’s what the cuisine was considered.
Frank & Lolas – Italian

Of the above restaurants you did have to make reservations to eat at two of them and the reservations needed to be made on the day you wanted to eat there. The reservations desks open at 8 AM. The two restaurants you need reservations for are Latinos and Frank & Lolas. The other two you can walk into. However, while Rita’s Tacos says they close at 5 they shut things down between 4:30 PM and 4:45 PM.

We really enjoyed the food at Latinos, as well as Rita’s Tacos. We had breakfast at the Beach House restaurant every day. The bars we frequented the most on property were the 5 O’clock Somewhere Bar and Rita’s Tacos bar. That is pretty much everything that was on property that I can think of. I did, however, forget to mention there is direct access to the beach as well with sun loungers and cabana type loungers also. There were two docks you could walk down that had steps you could take into the water. However, only one of the docks was in good condition as far as usability goes.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s post and video! Stay tuned for next week’s post and video where I discuss the pros and cons of the resort as well as if I think we’d stay there again. I look forward to seeing you next week and here’s to helping you make picture perfect memories that are sure to last a lifetime!

Best wishes,
Megan
